I also have a job, which I have so far failed to mention.
But it's a three-day weekend now, so I have that much more time to put off doing my homework!
I was hired by the campus food... catering... supplier... thing, and so far I've been working at the juice bar in the gym, which is quite fun and something I think I may prefer to working at the coffee cart, which is where I originally applied for.
My first day was last Saturday, and then I worked again today. Since I'm still in training they sent in someone else to help me out. It was very helpful, but she is also a huge Disney fan (and from the LA/Anaheim area of California, which is rather fabulous), and so was playing Tangled in the back room on her computer. And randomly breaking out into song.
I also found out I am allergic to the disinfectant they use, so I had to wash my hands every other minute. It reminded me of constantly washing milk buckets. Just like home!
But between the Tangled and the rather delicious smoothie I made myself, it was a very good day.
Of course, that may be partially due to the rather heavy medication I'm taking this weekend for my asthma. But I'm going to appreciate it while it lasts.
